West Cape May - The Herald lifted the sex on the beach story directly from CBS 3's website. I believe that is called plagiarizing. The whole story is questionable, since the source was social media, which is not reliable.

Moderator's Note:
According to Dictionary.com, plagiarism is defined as an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author. The Herald did not attempt to pass off the story as our own. We credited the original authors, CBS Philly, in the article and linked to their site. To your other point, the story was corroborated by the Sea Isle City Police Department, whom released a press release announcing the arrest of the couple.
