Enjoyed Mr. Kushner’s letter to the Editor on Beach Replenishment. His six points he addressed is an accurate assessment. The City of Cape May had an opportunity for a Demonstration Project to answer these points. They decided to take a totally different approach and not address these issues. The Editor states : A local source indicates that shells have disappeared due to over fishing and claiming’’. As stated this is BUNK. Harvesting and scraping the ocean floor is devastating the ecosystem not claming. Get real and do a real study by an Ocean Engineer.
