West Cape May

Cape May has spent enough money on beach replenishment to build a reef around it. There seems to be no understanding of the dynamics of littoral drift and the reaction of water and waves with jetties. Prior to replenishment, the sand and water hit the jetties, either built up on the east side, or went around it. Now, because of the sand, the jetties' height is diminished, and the water and sand go over the jetties, especially at the base. The swimming, surfing and fishing has been ruined. There are other solutions.
