Villas - Yes, there have been a significant amount of homeowners in Villas renovating properties, but the process is slow. One of the single largest obstacles for the east side are rental properties and their owners. These owners fail, it seems, to do property checks and rent to the 20-something group. Most of these are the ones who cause the problems in the community and you read about in the Herald. I know of an owner who in two years only collected about six months rent total for two different renters, plus trashing the property each time.
