Villas - Unfortunately, a small dog was the victim of yet another hit and run in front of our house on Bayshore Rd. in the Villas. It must have happened overnight because we discovered the poor animal early in the morning. Wanting to spare our children the trauma, who would be walking to the bus stop shortly, I called the local police station after receiving no answer from animal control. I was told there was nothing they could do. The dog has a collar on it and I'm afraid the owners may be worried. Lower Township needs better protocol for handling these sad situations.
