For the first time ever, the Herald is dedicating the pages of Spout Off on 4/15 to a specific purpose—honoring every person, business, government entity or leader who is making a sacrifice for the benefit of the community in these trying times of the pandemic. At the Herald, we are forever grateful for the remarkable work of our health care providers, first responders, and other essential workers who are keeping us safe. We can’t wait to read about our community heroes and their actions that will remain in our hearts for years to come.

Villas - Shore Animal Control has done an excellent job and is so much better than any other company we have ever had. They can only enforce if the officials condone it. The state had a bi-annual dog census that they did away with several years ago and that was the worst decision ever. Vineland has a yearly dog census that they pay for because of numerous issues and Lower should consider that as well. Every dog in the township needs to be identified and licensed to protect the residents. When they come knocking on your door to see if your dog is licensed, don't be nasty. I am suggesting a dog census!!
