Villas - Recently, someone spouted, "The police chief, during a Dec. 3 Town Hall, announced his department had to administer Narcan to save 170 people who were overdosing last year." That statement is incorrect. Narcan was deployed 35 times in Lower Township in 2019 so far, and the number of overdoses has been decreasing significantly in the past two years.

Moderator's Note:
In a Dec. 8 Herald article, Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriani said, "Last year, we deployed Narcan 170 times and saved 170 lives": http://bit.ly/38KlpFU.
