Villas - Parents of pre-teen and teenaged children, please advise your young ones to be very careful while riding their bikes near traffic. My husband and I had a scary moment recently when we were driving on Bayshore Ave. in Villas. A kid on a bike zoomed out of a parking lot and into the bike lane and alongside our vehicle so quickly that had my husband not been a good driver, we may have had a terrible accident. Young people need to understand that vehicles cannot stop on a dime. If a bike rider comes too closely to a truck, they could get hit on the back of the head, knocking them out.
