Villas - My son, a 15-year-old sophomore, took algebra last year and got an A in the class, but did terrible on the PARCC test in algebra. He was made to take a remedial algebra class this semester, and now has to take the algebra part of PARCC again, even with an A in the class as his final grade. It makes no sense to us at all, and the school had no explanation, yet they teach to test, hmm.
