I still get choked up and my eyes water when I hear her sing this song on YouTube. The Philadelphia Flyers' bosses were foolish to pull her rendition and cover her statue. It was a knee-jerk reaction that smacked of political correctness, or perhaps it was fake rage, so that former team announcer Gene Hart's daughter Lauren's rendition could be declared the "official" Flyers' version. Quid pro quo, you think?
