Villas - After many hours of sirens, Santa was a few block away. I bundled my 4-year-old niece and we went outside in the cold wind to await his arrival. The anticipation on her face was priceless. Ten-15 minutes later came the truck down our street as we anxiously waved Santa down. Swoosh, right by us, just a flash. No candy cane, no "Ho Ho," hardly a look. The disappointment on her face was heartbreaking. "No candy," she asked? "He must have run out from all the other children," I explained, as we stood in the empty after-season streets, the only child awaiting his arrival.
