To the Villas spouter saying the public schools are broken. I'm a recently retired teacher and I'll tell you you're not wrong. The problem though is the State Dept. of Ed. and State School Board, both of whom are unelected. They mandate "educational" policies that are actually political in nature. Further, there are too many thugs that are not removed from the schools to what in the old days would be called a "reform school." Good kids today aren't safe- physically nor educationally. The best mitigation available is something we used to have in my school, In-school Suspension.
