To a Villas spouter: Crime is going up because people are not involved in their community. They don't want to be involved, they don't want to be the one to make the call, they are not proactive. This is a consistent, recurring problem in Villas that contributes and feeds into the problem. While I am only a part-time resident, I have a significant investment in my home. I know more of what is going on, not only on my street, but neighboring streets. Yes, I do make calls and have made numerous calls this past summer.
