The US Airforce wasted a lot of money shooting down the first Chinese balloon. The F-22 fired a Sidewinder missile at it. The Sidewinder costs $472,000 each. The F-22 also has a rapid fire Vulcan cannon that can shoot 6000 rounds per minute. A one second burst is all that was needed to shoot the balloon down. Each Vulcan round costs $30.00. In a one second burst, 100 rounds are fired. Therefore the cost would have been $3000! Nice going Lloyd Austin!! I guess its not your money.
