Unfortunately board members, especially in Florida are residents who live there, do they really know anything about running a condo. You have to rely on the professionals to let you know what needs to be done. We owned a condo in Florida years ago, the board was awful, but had to pay for what they decided to do no matter what. Years later they were all sued because they didn’t go by the by laws, it came back to bite them!
