As a retired nurse I spent many years caring for newborns born with NEONATAL ABSTINENCE SYNDROME, which occurs from pregnant mothers using drugs.Now that many states are legalizing the use of marijuana, pregnant moms think it's okay to use this drug while pregnant.This is not true as it causes damage to the brain development of the fetus.Don't think for a second that these helpless little babies are not born addicted and suffer from the negative effects of what is being falsely made out to be a harmless drug.Not only does this cause problems in newborns but it's a gateway drug for teens too.
