The Police Fire Retirement System is approximately 76 percent funded. That is because the cities and the counties pay into that fund. The employees, cities and counties never missed a payment. The other pension funds, like the teachers and other public employees, the state pays into that. Those pension funds are approximately 48 percent funded. Now, all present and past governors are to blame.
