To the North Cape May spouter who thinks Cape May has a legitimate argument for not paying its current level into the LCMR school district: Based on your reasoning, senior citizens and others with no children in the schools would pay nothing, right? If only parents with children in the school paid the taxes, it would be unsustainable. It's based on property values to spread the taxes evenly. Those with the most should pay the most. Everyone benefits from good schools.
