"If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns." Hasn't anyone learned from the lessons of Prohibition? Doesn't anyone understand the principle of "forbidden fruit?" Do you think the Mafia would have gotten as big as they did, or the murder rate been so high, if alcoholic beverages had not been outlawed? Prohibition actually fostered a desire to have what was illegal, and a whole industry arose to fill that need. Do we really want to see disarmament in America?
