I am a veteran and appreciate any benefits that come my way but I think Jeff VanDrew's free beach tag for vets is not at all feasible. Do I have to bring my discharge papers when I go to the beach? How can any municipality control issuance and use of these special tags? Will I need ID with it or can anyone else use it? Who will compensate the towns for their loss of income? Mr VanDrew would get more votes if he offered benefits like bill paying,medical,rent and food. Besides not all vets like the beach.
