I am shocked at the imbalance when it comes to the rules and laws between dog and cat owners. I do like cats, but what I don't like is them using my entire yard as a litter box on a daily basis. As a dog owner, I need to get a license, leash my dog in public and be responsible for cleaning up after him while not on my own property. I do all of these things faithfully, as a responsible pet owner. However, my neighbor's cats can leave my front steps smelling of cat urine, poop all over my yard, destroy property with scratching, but I just have to deal with it? How is this fair?
