Holding a public office is going to come with criticism, positive and negative, but shielding family members from fines, arrest or jail certainly is going to glean a little more attention. It's a problem if they can't meet basic reasonable standards and get a free pass on the Quality-of-Life Crimes and disruptions they commit in the community. Have Zero tolerance on them and set the standard.
