Us AFSCME members, need to start looking for a different union. I am removing myself from the union. I never heard such things "We cant talk about the raise or the contract to the paying members" ever in my 15 years of work. These meetings are repetitive and keep curveballing our answers and is a Carousel giving the run around every time. We are not getting employees because of this salary we have, and our union is non-transparent with the contract. Never seen anything like it. Lets find a union that for the paying members. IF I AM PAYING, I DESERVE TRANSPARANCY!
