Upper Township - You do not need beach replenishment to have a beach! Beach replenishment is a waste of tax dollars no matter how some try to justify it. Tourism could survive without beach replenishment. People just do not have to build so close to the water. Barrier islands were never meant to be built on. Businesses on the mainland could accommodate visitors without any need to build anything on the islands. Stop beach replenishment and let nature take its course!
