Upper Township - The Pinelands Commission is a destructive weapon used to trample rights and commerce in the name of the environment. It is holding up a natural gas line project for no rational reason. The forest's impact is under existing roadways. It doesn't make sense when night time brownouts are the result! Oh yeah, Oyster Creek power plant is closing in two years. Plus all of Cape May County's natural gas source will be on a single, older pipe. So this leads me to believe it is not about sense, it's about ideology. To conform the rest of us into their minimalistic lifestyle.

An Asbury Park Press article Nov. 20, 2016, confirms, "Oyster Creek ... is scheduled to shut down in 2019."
