Yes, a candidate's position on offshore wind does matter to me as a voter, because it is indicative of their fundamental understanding of energy policy. A sound national energy strategy includes heavily pursuing nuclear and natural gas to reduce emissions, NOT inefficient and expensive solar and wind power. A leader with a true understanding of energy would not support such virtue signaling.
