U.S. Senator Rick Scott was the CEO of the hospital company Columbia/HCA, which was fined $1.7 billion for Medicare and Medicaid fraud in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This was the largest healthcare fraud settlement in U.S. history at the time. Scott himself was never charged with a crime in connection with the case. Asking Republicans why wasnt he charged?
