Two things holding us back from having great federal and local governments is qualified immunity and obligatory taxation to fund programs that are allowing government employees to be lazy, indifferent, and avoid transparency. I’d like to opt out of paying taxes towards people’s salaries who are actively making life worse because they have qualified immunity so their actions and decisions are never questioned.
