Trump has told NASA to prep for shutting down 2 satellites used by scientists and farmers to track CO2 and crop health as they continue to cut NASA spending, though that funding was appropriated by Congress. The satellites cost 15 million a year to maintain. DJT’s recent weekend golf trip to Scotland to open his personal club cost taxpayers almost 10 million dollars. The satellite data is used for studies on greenhouse gases, severe weather and climate disasters, as well as mapping plant photosynthesis and crop failures, predicting droughts, managing forests, and planning future farming.
