In these times when police are rightfully under scrutiny for bullying tactics I wonder why the Sea Isle Police Department has amped up persecution of residents. Last weekend I watched as quiet, peaceful citizens were cited for discretely enjoying a beer or wine cooler on a sunny day at the beach. Is city leadership tone deaf? How about a little more effort to "protect and serve" rather than "intimidate and harass".
