Town Bank - Why were most monarch’s and noblemen despised in ancient times by the peasants they lorded over? Could it be in the more autocratic monarchy’s, the peasants had very little to eat, while the Monarch ate like the King he was? Perhaps it was the fact that the King, although having chests of gold already, decided to tax his subjects into the depths of despair? Fortunately, we are not a monarchy, we are a republic, and unlike those peasants, we have the ability to change our fate. This great enabler is called the vote. The vote determines our future, so vote wisely, and show DC who works for who.
