Town Bank - We should have the best schools, roads, and quality of life in the state. Freeholders would have us think tourism is the lifeblood of the county. No. The residents are the lifeblood and they are being bled out having our property taxes pay for tourism amenities like walkways and boardwalks. Residents are carrying tourism on their backs. Most tourism jobs are low-paying, no-benefit positions barely providing more than a subsistence existence. Most workers must be subsidized by government programs.
