Town Bank - Townbank Spouter: I agree with you almost 100%. While I still and always will support the firehouse, I too agree that it’s time to move on from the siren. Perhaps a nice compromise would be to only operate at noon as it always has, and only during a very serious emergency at all other times. I remember this siren from when I was a child, and it always reminded me that it was time for grandmas lunch, so I’m a touch nostalgic for that noon siren. What I have a problem with is, like you, it wakes me up in the middle of the night, when far more effective methods of communication currently exist.
