Town Bank - The proposed sidewalk project along Beach Drive will not make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists. Widening the road will only encourage more drivers to speed. Pedestrians are at greatest risk when crossing the road, which everyone must do to get to the beach. Install more crosswalk stripes and yellow signs reminding drivers to stop for pedestrians. Speed bumps would also slow traffic.
