Town Bank - People seem to forget that Supreme Court Justices exist to interpret the law, not to write it. The 5th amendment says that anything not in the constitution is to be controlled by the states. This was done to prevent the federal government from controlling aspects of our lives, with no consideration for regional differences in beliefs, practices, or religion. I believe, as many do, that the original 1973 ruling was in error, as more freedoms for residents of a particular state, approved by the residents of that state, is not a bad thing, but a good thing, and that DC is mad at loss of control.
