Town Bank - I walk on Beach Drive every day (thanks again Lower Township, for the bay-side upgrade). Every day, it's like watching a time-lapse video. The volume of cigarette butts on the ground by the sidewalks, beach entrances and in/around the dune grass is growing. I spotted a lit one in the grass Aug. 19. I have noticed that a few residents have placed homemade signs at bay benches asking visitors to take their butts with them, e.g., residents and their children. Maybe the township would consider strategically placed official signs re: litter and butts, in the name of health, our environment, and safety.
