It was unfortunate the lame duck council appointed the newest member of the MUA. Wouldn't a more responsible method be to defer the appointment until the new council was implemented? The newest MUA appointment attended a township meeting in December and made political statements concerning the two council members. The people expect an independent MUA member, and not someone beholden to the mayor and deputy mayor.
