First, the solicitor didn't have the answer whether the appointee's job with the county was a conflict of interest. That should have been done prior to the appointment. Second, the MUA board should be represented with at least one member in each ward. I think Councilman Conrad made a good point. Thirdly, the mayor's comments to Councilman Simonsen were off base. Simonsen is not the solicitor and the solicitor didn't have an answer to a legitimate question.
