Why is it that the township uses grant money to do strange things? Buying the beach on Beach Dr. more than a decade ago was a bad idea. How did that improve life for the L.T. taxpayers? Now, we have grant money to build an ill-advised walkway from Avalon to Lincoln Blvd. along Shore/Beach Drive. Buying the beach for $250,000 when it was assessed at about $9,000? The walkway will not correct the safety issues along the bay for $100,000. Changing the traffic flow will cost nothing and will improve the problems. Why can't the grant money be used where needed and where viable?
