To the Villas spouter that lost her husband to Alzheimer’s: I know your pain, as I lost my father to this insidious disease over 20 years ago, and I still have moments to this day when that experience haunts me. They don’t call it the long goodbye for nothing, and only people who have gone through it themselves know what a traumatizing experience it is. I advise you to get out of the house as much as possible, as that was the best medicine for me. What it comes down to is, you can go up, or you can go down, which do you choose? Always remember, you can look to the past, just don’t stare.
