To correct the misinformation the Afscme eboard is spouting to the membership. The county is seeking to close the overtime loophole that allows certain departments from stealing from the taxpayers. Afscme is saying that the county is trying to eliminate paying an overtime rate altogether. It is not true. To simplify it, you wont be allowed to get overtime pay if you call out sick in the same 35 or 40 hr week you worked ot. You can still use personal, comp, vacation, incentive time. Its to prevent calling out sick the day after you work an overtime shift. It is perfectly reasonable.
