There is a Republican narrative and belief out there that elected Democrats and citizens who oppose Trump are somehow universally in favor of “open borders.“ I just think that’s blatantly wrong. What people are angry about is the spectacle, the trampling of rights of Americans, the brutality, the stupidity, the quotas, and the general incompetence. Yelling “You all want open borders” is just a knee-jerk way to avoid an ACTUAL discussion of whats happening.
