The West Orange police chief just retired and made out very well, per the Star Ledger: "‘Eye-popping’ $780K payout for N.J. top cop is raising questions. It’s among largest in years." Why doesn't the State Legislature outlaw this practice is stockpiling unused sick days for payout at retirement??
