The United States is 40 Trillion dollars in debt - Not to mention the interest that has to be paid of that debt. Imagine you owe $8,000 on a credit card and you only pay the minimum payment which is $40.00 per month. Our country barely has enough money to pay that $40.00. The last 25 years have been the worst. In 1993 the deficit was only 7 Trillion.
