The recent letter to the editor criticizing Van Drew on not supporting off-shore wind is unfair. I say this as a non-partisan, as I’m an independent. Contrary to the writer’s assertion, the windmills would not even remotely solve our energy needs. They are expensive, have a short shelf-life, and Orsted was a $ pit. Murphy kept handing them more and more of our $, and even he blasted them in the end. I will admit that Van Drew should’ve fought harder to keep the BL England plant open but opposing the boondoggle of the windmills was 100% legit, and in-line with the view of most constituents.
