The NJ Supreme Court mandated the state's affordable housing requirements. Towns are legally required to allow affordable housing units to be built. Even if we elect mayors and councilmen opposed to building affordable housing, they can't stop developers from building the units. Various towns have filed lawsuits to stop affordable housing and they have failed. More affordable housing will be coming to Cape May County.
