The American Legion has operated a small bar “21 blocks south of town” for 80 years. Previous commanders did not seek a club liquor license. The current commander is doing the right thing by applying for a license. It will be the same -members only club (and their limited number of guests) that has operated there for years. No one wants to do anything different. No big party scene whatsoever. Just in compliance with the law. The Union League can obtain a club liquor license but not Veterans??!! Come on.
