Swainton - Upper Cape May County fishermen, are you having a good year on flounder? If not, all you have to do is thank your congressman who supported and funded beach replenishment which destroyed the inshore ocean lumps that hold fish, especially flounder, on their migration inshore. Our beaches as a result of replenishment are more barren than the deserts. Unless there is something to hold the sand being pumped onto the beaches we will continue to see poor fishing as a result of the inshore lumps being wiped out. The sand that has been pumped onto Upper Twp. beaches is headed to Wildwood.
