Swainton - The new teacher evaluation system that Middle Township schools are using is a complete waste of administrators' time and taxpayers' dollars. There is no reason for veteran teachers to be "evaluated" more than once per year. No teacher likes having an administrator in their room because they can't be themselves and the student's can't be themselves. Gimmicks like scales and LEQ's on the board are meaningless. An increased (and excessive) administrator presence in the classroom does nothing to improve student learning and just makes teachers paranoid. The Marzano evaluation system is a scam.
