Swainton - New Jersey voters should be proud of being number one and surely it will stay number one. I would like to hear from anyone who thinks, as a taxpayer, they are getting their money's worth. The bigger problem in NJ is not enough taxpaying voters take the time to go to the polls and politicians know they can just keep taking taxpayer money and give it away to wherever programs benefit them financially. New Jersey: effective property tax rate: 2.1 percent; median home value: $322,600 (fourth highest); per capita property tax collections: $2,989 (the highest); median household income: $72,222 (fourth highest).
